Hi Animal Lovers!!
I would just like to thank the SPCA's around the country for all their self sacrifice. It must be an extremely difficult job, that I myself would not be strong enough to do.
Also, I would like to invite everyone to go and join animal causes on Facebook. I had someone say to me that it will never help, but AWARENESS is something!!! If people could just see the pain and suffering caused (in all its horror) instead of looking away and pretending it does'nt exist, it would be a safer world for animals out there.
Also, I would love to suggest more Anti Cruelty Campaigns held by the SPCA, people will help if they are made AWARE!!!
I truley pray for the safety of all our wonderful animals and for the people who work so hard to give them that.

Cheryl,Di,Janet,Lynn, we applaud you ladies who are doing all the hard work to help all the needy animals. Thanks for your devotion.
A suggestion to get more exposure on what you need is to publish a weekly or monthly list in the ZO. I just read about your dilemma and i feel very sorry for all those animals if you don't manage to save them by deadline. To amalgamate with Richards Bay is an option - you have a much larger facility and all the exposure on the SPCA net whereas Richards Bay isn't mentioned and is minute in comparison but they manage to run efficiently.
Great idea with this web site it is good to see the comments people make.
To Kay Pedrosa if you have sent your e-mail address to the spca I wil phone them to get your info.then we can have a chat about old times and catch up on our situations.

Excellent website - just wondering why Bloemfontein isn't considering this option, as they rarely feature in any newspapers/events. Hopefully they'll be following your example very soon, and perhaps it'll lead to more adoptions in Bloem. Keep up the great work you guys - thank you for the memorial candle as well...
hey there!
just want to tell you that you have a great site!!
greetings from me and all the four/three legged "furries" from pretoria!

We have 7 pets and they are like our children, we spoil them rotten and we will go without food before they have to. why do people abuse and neglect their pets? they have feelings too and they deserve to be treated with kindness and love.

My mom died from rabies, on the 27th of January 2007. A wild cat bit her toe, and 16 days later she died. It was the hardest thing ever to see her suffer, and I do not wish it on my worst enemies. The state vets cannot vaccinate all wild and domestic animals against rabies, so please be aware. Empangeni is so rife with rabies. Do not take a chance, if an aminal bites you, get vaccinated immediately.
I miss my animal loving mom, oh how I wish I could have her back if only for one day. Thank you to the Empangeni SPCA who assisted her in putting down all the wild cats on the farm. The 8th of Sep, is World Rabies Day, please remember to vaccinate your pets, and to spread awareness!

Dear Andrea Labuschagne, Thank you for your comments.
I would love to clear up some misconceptions about Empangeni SPCA that you appear to have, and would appreciate it if I had your contact details. Cheryl.
